Subtle Herbal Cleanse

I've been using this soap with buchu and rosemary for a bit now. The rosemary gives it a nice earthy smell and it's got that fresh feel you want from buchu. It's pretty good for just getting clean without any fuss. The lather's decent nothing too special but it works just fine it's alright if you're into herbal stuff 😊.

Loving the Fresh Feel!

Wow this soap with buchu and rosemary is just what I needed! My skin feels super soft and refreshed after using it the rosemary smell is so invigorating it wakes me right up in the mornings 😊. It's not perfect tho it does melt a bit fast if you keep it in the shower but I just store it outside now. I'm pretty happy with it!

How to use cold-process soap bars?
  1. Wet your skin and the soap bar
    Start with clean, damp hands and skin. Run the soap bar under warm water for a few seconds to activate its creamy lather.

  2. Create a rich lather
    Rub the bar between your hands or directly onto your body in circular motions. You’ll notice a soft, bubbly lather form as the natural oils and clays gently cleanse the skin.

  3. Cleanse and refresh
    Gently massage the lather into your skin, allowing the botanical ingredients — like Buchu oil — to purify, calm and rebalance. Perfect for both face and body, depending on your skin’s needs.

  4. Rinse thoroughly
    Rinse off with warm water and pat your skin dry with a soft towel. You’ll be left with skin that feels clean, refreshed and never tight or stripped.

  5. Store it well
    To keep your soap bar lasting longer, store it on a slotted soap dish or a surface that drains well. Let it dry completely between uses to avoid softening or waste.

  6. Use daily for healthy skin
    Aardvel’s cold process soaps are handcrafted in small batches, using only vegan, cruelty-free ingredients. Free from harsh detergents, they’re ideal for everyday use on all skin types — even sensitive.
Is your soap suitable for sensitive skin?

Yes, our formula is designed to be gentle. We don’t use any harsh detergents, artificial fragrances, or unnecessary fillers—just pure ingredients that cleanse without stripping your skin.
Can I use it on my face?

Yes, our bars are gentle enough for facial use. If you have extra-sensitive or acne-prone skin; always patch test if you’re unsure.
Will this dry out my skin?

No, In fact, cold process soap is often more hydrating than conventional soap because it retains natural glycerin, a humectant that draws moisture into the skin. We also pack each bar with skin-loving oils to leave your skin feeling soft and balanced.
Can I use this if I have eczema or psoriasis?

Many of our customers with sensitive skin, eczema or psoriasis say our soap helps calm flare-ups; especially because they are unscented with ingredients like olive oil, shea butter & cocoa butter. But always patch test if you’re unsure.
Is there a detox period when switching from commercial soap?

Sometimes, especially if your skin’s used to synthetic detergents & commercial soaps. You might experience slight dryness or a texture shift at first; but give it a week or two. Your skin’s barrier needs a little time to adjust and rebalance.
