2. Medical & Regulatory Disclosure

Aardvel products are classified as cosmetics under the South African FCD Act 54 of 1972. Cosmetic products are not evaluated or approved by the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) or by the U.S. Food & Drug Administration. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease.

3. Allergy Awareness & Patch Testing

• Our formulas contain botanical ingredients such as organic Buchu oil and naturally derived fragrances. Plant-based compounds can trigger individual sensitivities.
• Perform a 24-hour patch test on the inner forearm before first use. Discontinue use immediately if redness, burning, or irritation occurs.
• If you have known allergies (e.g., to essential oils, nuts, or soy) read the full INCI list printed on each package and on the product page.

4. External Use Only

All Aardvel products are intended for external topical application. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes. Do not ingest. If accidental ingestion occurs, seek medical advice promptly.

5. Special Populations

• Children under 3 years: consult a pediatrician before use.
• Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals: always check with your healthcare provider, especially with products containing essential oils.
• Immunocompromised or dermatologically sensitive users should seek medical guidance prior to introducing new topical products.

6. Directions & Safe Storage

• Follow the usage instructions printed on each product box or bar wrapper.
• Store bars and blocks in a cool, dry place, ideally on a draining dish to prevent microbial growth.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

7. Natural Variations

Because we use unbleached plant oils, mineral pigments, and zero synthetic dyes, slight changes in colour, scent, or hardness may occur from batch to batch. This is normal and does not affect product safety or efficacy.

8. Environmental & Packaging Notice

Our cardboard sleeves and shipping boxes are 100% recyclable. Please dispose of or recycle responsibly. Do not litter bars or soap shavings into freshwater ecosystems.

9. Limitation of Liability

Aardvel, its directors, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from misuse, abnormal storage, or unauthorised modification of our products. Your statutory rights are not affected.
